The Music Theatre Company (TMTC), Highland Park's Equity theatre, 1850 Green Bay Road, completes its 2012-2013 Musicals in Concert Series with its final production in the series, The Baker's Wife, directed by Dominic Missimi with music direction by Matt Deitchman. The Baker's Wife runs Friday, Feb. 1 - Sunday, Feb. 10 and performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for $35.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents its 7th annual First Look Repertory of New Work - three developmental productions of new plays presented in repertory playing October 26 - November 20, 2011 in The Steppenwolf Garage, 1624 N. Halsted St. The 2011 festival will also include three free readings by emerging playwrights presented November 3 - 5, 2011. MORGAN KARR, Nashville-born singer/songwriter, made his Rockwood Music Hall debut after playing to sold out crowds at Joe's Pub and The Bitter End this past fall. Adding a full band to his soaring vocals, Karr showcased his soulful pop/rock sound by playing his original music as well as his own twist on hits by Sara Bareilles, Bruno Mars, and The Fugees.
