A brand-new video has been released of some of the cast of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s SOUTH PACIFIC singing a special medley at The Ivy.

The full cast has been announced for the Sadler’s Wells season and UK and Ireland Tour of the Chichester Festival Theatre production of RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN’S SOUTH PACIFIC.

Netflix has debuted a first look photo of Randall Park and Melissa Fumero on the set of the upcoming comedy series BLOCKBUSTER. Later tonight, Randall Park, Melissa Fumero, JB Smoove and Tyler Alvarez will be competing against each other in a Movie Trivia Happy Hour event out of Netflix is a Joke: The Festival.

CBS announced today that it has renewed the hit drama THE EQUALIZER, starring Queen Latifah, for two additional years, beginning with the 2022-2023 broadcast season. THE EQUALIZER is Sunday’s #1 scripted series. The series originally premiered Feb. 7, 2021, following the Super Bowl.

Since their 2000 formation in Kalamazoo, MI, the quartet—Anders Beck [dobro], Michael Arlen Bont [banjo], Dave Bruzza [guitar], Mike Devol [upright bass], and Paul Hoffman [mandolin]—have unassumingly progressed into a phenomenon on their own terms with the undying support of a devout audience.

Norm Lewis will join Samantha Mathis, Matt Passmore, Floriana Lima, Abhi Sinha, and Dave Annable as series regulars in the new series. The series was created and written by Dean Georgaris and will be directed by Richard Shepard. Georgaris, John Fox, and John Davis will serve as executive producers.

Performers include Little Feat, Sammy Rae & The Friends, Steve Kimock, flatpicking phenom Jon Stickley, Jerry Garcia collaborator Peter Rowan, a rare reunion of Colorado's Wayword Sons ft Benny 'Burle' Galloway, Pacific Northwest up and comers TK & the Holy Know-Nothings, as well as a handful of Michigan music mainstays including Steppin In It.

The Lesher Center Presents Headliners series continues with jazz pianist-composer Joey Alexander, the youngest musician ever nominated for a Grammy Award in jazz, whose breathtaking swing and improvisational style that have made him an international sensation.

 The Maui Arts & Cultural Center has announced two major concert additions to its schedule with an April 21 piano trio concert with three award-winning artists, violinist Arnaud Sussmann joining cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han performing works by Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, and Mendelssohn.

NBC’s drama “The Blacklist” – from Sony Pictures Television, Universal Television and Davis Entertainment — has been renewed for a 10th season. “The Blacklist” stars James Spader, Diego Klattenhoff, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Laura Sohn and Harry Lennix. The show is also the fourth highest broadcast drama in bringing in an upscale audience.

AMC announced today that Olivia Munn (“The Newsroom,” “X-Men: Apocalypse,” “Six”), Danny Ramirez (“The Falcon & The Winter Soldier”), Loan Chabanol (“Fading Gigolo”), Embeth Davidtz (“Old,” “Ray Donovan”) and Jessie T. Usher (“Shaft,” “The Boys”) have joined the cast of “Tales of the Walking Dead.'

 Lesher Center for the Arts continues its 2022 Headliners series with a stellar performance by jazz pianist-composer Joey Alexander, known for a breath-taking swing and improvisational style that have made him an international sensation.

The series is an ensemble comedy that takes place in the last Blockbuster Video in America, that explores what it takes – and more specifically who it takes – for a small business to succeed against all odds. Fumero will be starring alongside Randall Park. Additional cast members will be announced soon. 

The Whole Backstage Theatre will present Willy Wonka, Jr. this summer. The musical features words and music by  Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, and is adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy A. McDonald, based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.

. Today’s leading artists gather on The Django stage to celebrate NEA Jazz Master Dr. Lonnie Smith in special back-to-back tribute concerts 12/9. Two leading pianists make their Django debut: Benito Gonzalez 12/3 followed by Orrin Evans 12/8 leading his new Brazilian project “Terreno Comun”.

The Royal Shakespeare Company today released the first images of new musical The Magician’s Elephant by Nancy Harris (book/lyrics) and Marc Teitler (music/lyrics) based on the novel by prize-winning children’s author Kate DiCamillo.

Dig out your fishnet stockings and dust off your stilettos!  Following a one-year hiatus, that sweet transvestite and his motley crew are back for the ninth year in an annual tradition on the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville.  

The world stage premiere of The Magician's Elephant will run in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from Thursday 14 October 2021 to Saturday 1 January 2022 with press night on Tuesday 26 October 2021. Learn more about the production here!
