Two River Theater has named Justin Waldman as their new Artistic Director.  Waldman returns to the East Coast from San Diego after an eleven-year career at the Old Globe Theatre.

the american vicarious will present a Five-Borough NYC Tour (5BT) of their critically acclaimed production of Debate: Baldwin vs Buckley, a staging of the historic clash between James Baldwin and William F. Buckley Jr.

Artscape forms part of an international European project called the Dream Up! Drum Up! Project with our partners Samba Résille from Toulouse France, and Barefeet Theatre from Zambia. This project is funded by the European Union Erasmus +.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the newest addition to the artistic team: Directing Fellow Mack Brown. Brown is the fifth Roundabout Directing Fellow. On March 11th 2020 Mint Theater Company completed casting for their next production, the long delayed American premiere of Chains by Elizabeth Baker, scheduled to open that May.  

Bill Castellino directs and choreographs. Cast members include Almeria Campbell, Victoria Casillo, Daniela Delahuerta, Matthew Liu, Jesse Manocherian, Sarah Nandola, Pearl Rhein, Noah Ruebeck, Hansel Tan, and Miles Whittaker. With performances beginning April 23rd, Nancy Manocherian’s the cell theatre and Nightclub Cantata LLC, by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals, will present  Elizabeth Swados’ 1977 breakout sensation Nightclub Cantata, a provocative, eclectic and heralded theatrical creation rarely seen since its inception decades ago. 

Lucas Hnath fans, rejoice! International City Theatre presents A Doll’s House, Part 2, the Obie-Award winning playwright’s bitingly funny, thoroughly modern, 90-minute “sequel” to Henrik Ibsen’s 1879 classic. Trevor Biship-Gillespie directs this stand-alone continuation (no need to know the original) for an April 15 opening at ICT’s home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, where performances continue through May 1. Two low-priced previews are set for April 13 and April 14.

The Front Porch Arts Collective has announced its two-play 2022-2023 season, which includes Broadway hit Chicken & Biscuits and romantic comedy K-I-S-S-I-N-G.  Performances will begin in the fall of 2022, with one production taking the stage at the Wimberly Theatre in the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA in Boston's South End.
