LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE is thrilled to present the final show in its 97thseason, the critically acclaimed, Pulitzer and Tony award winner for Best Play, CYLBOURNE PARK, written by Bruce Norris and directed by Matt August. Billed as 'lovingly ripped off from the classic comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail', SPAMALOT kicks off Cygnet Theatre's sixteenth season. With book and lyrics by Monty Python actor Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, directed by Sean Murray with musical direction by Terry O'Donnell and choreography by Katie Banville, the production runs June 27 through August 5. A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, now playing at Cygnet Theatre through April 22nd, is a romantic and wistful production that brings a lovely and poignant portrait to the Cygnet stage.

The Tony Award winning musical is considered one of Sondheim's most beloved works, and features stunning melodies including the popular 'Send in the Clowns'. Cygnet's fourteenth season ends with the manic, irreverent and wildly imaginative presentation of the theatrical event, Shockheaded Peter. This 1998 musical took a famed German children's book series and turned it into an instant classic. The stage production of Shockheaded Peter won rave reviews around the world as one of the most original collaborations of its kind. It featured music by The Tiger Lillies, a three-piece band with a cult following in London, and includes graphic and hilariously sadistic lessons for children about what will happen to them if they don't do as they are told. These cautionary tales for children become lessons for adults in the completely demented stage production.

On the Twentieth Century will be directed by Sean Murray. The production runs March 9 through April 30. Opening night for media is March 18.

Cygnet Theatre will kick off its 13th season in July as director Sean Murray mounts the San Diego Premiere of Dogfight, a romantic and comic musical adaptation of the 1991 movie with River Phoenix and Lili Taylor.
