Producers Lia Vollack, John Branca, John McClain and Broadway in Cincinnati have announced that the smash-hit musical, MJ, begins performances at the Aronoff Center. As part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati 23/24 series presented by TriHealth, MJ makes its Ohio premiere at the Aronoff Center now through September 17.

Broadway newcomer Nichelle Lewis will star as “Dorothy” and lead the cast of The Wiz in the national tour this fall and Broadway return in the Spring of 2024.  Ms. Lewis who hails from Virginia was discovered via a TikTok video, and selected from more than 2,000 submissions for the coveted role.

The complete ensemble cast has been announced for the all-new production of the Tony Award-winning musical The Wiz! The casting comes in advance of the musical's national tour, which kicks off this fall before returning to Broadway in the Spring of 2024.

What did our critic think of BEETLEJUICE at Broadway San Jose? Who knew that Beetlejuice would be just the right tonic for the nightly news and this summer’s Indictment Watch ’23 (there’s still Georgia to watch for).  Turns out that frighteningly funny laughs about death beats reality every time. This screen-to-stage adaptation from the iconic, beloved 1998 Tim Burton film of the same name was made for the stage. Playhouse Square has announced that tickets to the touring Broadway musicals The Wiz and Girl From The North Country will be available for purchase beginning Friday, July 28. These two shows will kick off the 2023-2024 KeyBank Broadway Series at Playhouse Square with performances beginning this October.

Just last week, the Broadway and National Tour casts of MJ gathered for a special send off celebration at the Civilian Hotel. The musical will soon launch its First National Tour at Broadway In Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre from August 1 – September 2, 2023.  Check out photos from inside the festivities here!

Individual tickets for the smash-hit musical, MJ, will go on sale starting July 14 at 10 am. As part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati 23/24 series presented by TriHealth, MJ makes its Ohio premiere at the Aronoff Center September 5 – 17.

Roman Banks (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen and “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) will play the role of Michael Jackson in the First National Tour of MJ.  

Myles Frost, who originated the role of Michael Jackson in the Broadway production of MJ the Musical, and for which he won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, will bring his star-making performance to London.

BroadwaySF, part of the Ambassador Theatre Group, has announced six Broadway musicals coming to the Orpheum and Golden Gate Theatres as part of the 2023-2024 season.

Broadway in Hollywood has announced their 2023-24 Season - consisting of seven shows: five Los Angeles premieres, one Pre-Broadway L.A.  premiere, and the return of an American classic. All seven newly announced shows will play the Hollywood  Pantages Theatre. 

Last night, the four-time Tony Award-winning musical MJ celebrated its first anniversary on Broadway. Audience members were gifted a special edition merch item, and the cast celebrated on stage with a giant MJ themed cake. Check out photos and video from the big night!

Bane Griffith will be joining the cast of MJ in the role of ‘Little Michael’ beginning tonight, Tuesday, January 31, sharing the role with Christian Wilson. Originally from Houston, Texas, Bane will make his Broadway debut in the production.
