Theatre Seven of Chicago's Annual Benefit NEIGHBORHOOD BALL 2013 Set for 4/13

Save the date for Theatre Seven of Chicago's fifth annual gala, the NEIGHBORHOOD BALL on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 7 pm - midnight at the historic Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark St. in the heart of Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. The spectacular party features libations from local breweries, dinner from Chicago eateries including RL Restaurant, live musical entertainment plus a sneak preview of Theatre Seven's summer production of Unwilling and Hostile Instruments: 100 Years of Extraordinary Chicago Women, as well as silent auction and raffle prizes that highlight all corners of Chicago's unique neighborhoods. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 8, 2013 at www.theatreseven.org.

Proceeds from the annual NEIGHBORHOOD BALL help Theatre Seven fulfill its mission of creating theatre that directly speaks to Chicago by providing vital funds for the work of its actors, directors and playwrights.

The NEIGHBORHOOD BALL host committee includes Jill Davidson, Brian Golden, Paul Hybel, Dan McArdle, Cassy Sanders and Travis Williams.

Location: Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark St, Chicago
Tickets: $50 in advance ($65 at the door). Tickets go on sale Friday, February 8, 2013 at www.theatreseven.org.

Theatre Seven of Chicago produces new and original work that explores the diverse Chicago experience. Since 2007, the company has produced seventeen standout offerings, greeted 12,000 audience members, paid 200+ artists for their contributions, earned nominations for three Jeff Awards and two Black Theatre Alliance Awards and won the 2012 League of Chicago Theatres' Emerging Theater Award. The company's noted world premieres include The Chicago Landmark Project, We Live Here, Diversey Harbor, Yes, This Really Happened To Me and Cooperstown. The company also hosts a robust menu of auxiliary programming, including a monthly reading series, Shikaakwa, featuring new-to-Chicago plays and one of the best post-show discussions in town. Support for Theatre Seven of Chicago's 2012/13 Season is provided by High Concept Laboratories, a nonprofit arts service organization, creative incubator and interdisciplinary platform. HCL's mission is to partner with artists and performers to foster the creation and development of new works. HCL supports projects of merit so they can get the space, resources, capacity-building and administrative services they need. In doing so, HCL nurtures new works through every step of the creative process.
