"Little Women-the musical," based on the Louisa May Alcott classic novel, is brought to life on stage with a powerful score and the enchanting story of the four March sisters-aspiring writer Jo, pretentious Amy, romantic Meg, and kind-hearted Beth -plus their beloved mother, Marmee, and their experiences while the men are away fighting the Civil War. This coming of age story takes you on a journey through all the trials and triumphs of the struggle with growing up, wanting to be astonishing, and make something of ourselves.
Corey Mills directs the show. The cast includes: Molly Kral as Jo, Johanna Moffitt as Meg, Christine Morgan as Beth and Mary-Margaret Roberts as Amy. The cast also features Blake Reddick, Whitney Langas, Marty Grubbs, Kyle Kuhlman, Regina Webster and Matt Patrick. The musical director is Marta Johnson, and the technical director is Steve Kedzierski.
The show will be presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI) and is based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, book by Allen Knee, music by Jason Howland, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein.
The James Downing Theatre and the James Waldron Arts Center are sponsored programs of the Edison Park United Methodist Church.
