Zachary James (Lurch in the upcoming pre-Broadway run of THE ADDAMS FAMILY Musical) opens his one man show, IMBECILE D'AMOUR, Sunday, October 25th. Gorilla Tango Theatre (1919 W. Milwaukee Ave.) will host James' performance on Sunday, October 25th at 7:00pm.
IMBECILE D'AMOUR is a journey of love, a dark story of which makes a fool of us all, featuring the music of Hahn, Holst, Mozart, Rachmaninov, Gounod, Hevner, Sondheim, Weill, Wilson and more. Zachary James has previously appeared on Broadway in CORAM BOY and the Tony Award- winning revival of SOUTH PACIFIC at Lincoln Center. James has sung with Ash Lawn Opera (MADAMA BUTTERFLY), Knoxville Opera (LITTLE WOMEN), Central City Opera, the role of Oberon in the world premiere of Kristin Hevner's IL SOGNO IN CITTA DELLA PIEVE, UMBRIA and in concert as the baritone soloist in CARMINA BURANA. In the Theatre World he has performed with The Bucks County Playhouse (Abner in LIL' ABNER), The York Theatre (Petr in THE TOYMAKER), Theatre By The Sea (Miles Gloriosus in ...FORUM), Pocono Playhouse, The Kitchen Theatre, Westport Country Playhouse and The Public Theatre. William is 2007 BFA Direction graduate from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign. Since graduating, he's been an artistic associate with The Orchard Project's 2007 session in Hunter, NY & a production assistant for 2008's The 24-Hour Musicals at Joe's Pub. Now living in Edgewater, William freelances around Chicagoland, most recently directing And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank at the Skokie Theatre.
