Mary-Arrchie Theatre's THE GLASS MENAGERIE to Move to Theater Wit, 5/22-6/30

Due to overwhelming demand, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s Jeff Recommended production of THE GLASS MENAGERIE directed by Hans Fleischmann will be moving the wonderful Theater Wit in Chicago with performances beginning May 22nd, 2013 for 6 additional weeks! The original 9 week run and extension at Angel Island is completely sold out. The critically acclaimed production will feature all the original Mary-Arrchie cast members.

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. presents a gritty re-imagining of Tennessee Williams' haunting, semi-autobiographical masterpiece THE GLASS MENAGERIE. The original memory play was the legendary playwright's first major success and is considered one of the great American plays of all time. Mary-Arrchie's version tells the story through the memories of a homeless man living on the streets of St. Louis, post-WWII. In his imagination, he relives the events that led to his ultimate demise. LA-based Jeff Award winning ensemble member Hans Fleischmann returned to Mary-Arrchie to direct this production, featuring an original score by Chicago musician Daniel Knox.

The production team for THE GLASS MENAGERIE includes: Rudy Galvan (asst. direction/dramaturg), Andrew Donnelly (stage mgmt), Matthew Gawryk (lights), Anna Henson (projections), Daniel Knox (composer), Grant Sabin (set), Stefin Steberl (costumes), Joe Court (sound design), Arianna Soloway (props), Gaby Labotka (rehearsal assistant), Mark Hackman (choreography).

Directed by Hans Fleischmann, the cast features: Walter Briggs (Jim), Maggie Cain (Amanda), Joanne Dubach (Laura), and Hans Fleischmann (Tom).
