Light Opera Works will present Lerner and Loewe's musical CAMELOT June 1-10, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston. A 29-piece orchestra playing the original Broadway orchestrations accompanies a 31-member cast led by award-winning actor Nick Sandys.

Sandys, artistic director of Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, was named Chicago's Best Actor in the August 2011 issue of Chicago Magazine. He returns to the Light Opera Works stage after his acclaimed portrayal of Henry Higgins in MY FAIR LADY in 2009.

CAMELOT is directed by Light Opera Works artistic director Rudy Hogenmiller, choreographed by Todd Rhoades and conducted by Light Opera Works music director Roger L. Bingaman.

Casting for CAMELOT includes Nick Sandys (Arthur), Jennie Sophia (Guenevere), William Travis Taylor (Lancelot), Skip Lundby (Pellinore), Michael Harnichar (Merlyn), Patrick Tierney (Mordred) and Patrice Egelston (Morgan Le Fey).

The design/production team includes Adam Veness (scenic), Jeff Hendry (costume), Sienna Kusek (hair and make-up), Andrew Meyers (lighting) and Paige Keedy (production manager).

The opening night reception for CAMELOT is sponsored by Whole Foods Market Evanston.

CAMELOT is Light Opera Works' first production of 2012. The season will continue with MAN OF LA MANCHA (August 11-26), OPERETTA'S GREATEST HITS (October 5-14) and OLIVER! (December 22-31).

Discounted season ticket packages are still available.

Ticket prices for CAMELOT range from $32 to $92. Ages 21 and younger are half price. To order tickets, or for more information, call the Light Opera Works box office at (847) 920-5360 or order 24 hours a day online at LightOperaWorks.com.
