Erasing the Distance (ETD) and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) continue their partnership with the upcoming theatrical production IN LESS THAN A DAY.

With the guidance of ETD Executive Artistic Director Brighid O’Shaughnessy, several TCSPP students conducted and transcribed interviews from individuals touched by mental health issues throughout the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters. The students then edited and shaped those interviews into theatrical monologues to be performed by professional actors.

The culmination of this project is IN LESS THAN A DAY, a play featuring the stories of five adults whose lives change in powerful and significant ways “in less than a day.” Losing a parent to death, becoming homeless, or walking into a treatment program for the first time, these stories show that every moment has the power to shape our lives irrevocably.
