Commedia Beauregard's A KLINGON CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns to Raven Theatre, 12/1-30

Commedia Beauregard, a Chicago-based non-profit theater company, has announced the return of their seasonal hit, A Klingon Christmas Carol, appearing at Raven Theatre from December 1 - 30, 2012.

A Klingon Christmas Carol is the heartwarming holiday tale of Scrooge has no honor, nor any courage. Can three ghosts help him to become the true warrior he ought to be in time to save Tiny Tim from a horrible fate?

Scrooge has no honor, nor any courage. Can three ghosts help him to become the true warrior he ought to be in time to save Tiny Tim from a horrible fate? A Klingon Christmas Carol adapts Dickens' classic tale of ghosts and redemption to reflect the Warrior Code of Honor and is performed in the Original Klingon with English supertitles, and with narrative analysis from the Vulcan Institute of Cultural Anthropology,

This year's production is being helmed by new director Eric Van Tassell, who brings fresh eyes to this complex work. And along with a new leader at the helm, the production also has eleven new cast members learning Klingon and stepping into these challenging roles. Several favorites from the past remain though, such as Kevin Alves reprising his role of SQuja’ (Scrooge), and veterans Philip Zimmermann, Christina Romano, and Clark Bender.

The Opening Night Gala Event will be held Saturday, December 1 at Raven Theatre, featuring a silent auction, Klingon-themed munchies, door prizes, and live music by Il Troubadore Klingon Music Project!

A Klingon Christmas Carol is a co-production of Commedia Beauregard and the IKV Spirit of Honor of the Klingon Assault Group.

The show plays every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 1 - 30, 2012 at the Raven Theatre, 6157 N Clark St (at Granville Ave), Chicago, Ill. Tickets are available at 800.838.3006 or CBTheatre.org.
