Chicago Native Wins RUN AWAY WITH CIRQUE DREAMS Contest

DREAMS COME TRUE... CIRQUE DREAMS ILLUMINATION and Broadway in Chicago have teamed up to make one aspiring local street performer's dream come true. Through an online contest, contestants submitted audition videos for a chance to "Run Away with Cirque Dreams." Neil Goldberg, the show's creator and director, and his design team reviewed countless video submissions and has announced that Taroniah Rice, a Chicago native, has been chosen to "Run Away with Cirque Dreams" and perform with Cirque Dreams Illumination on Thursday, June 3 at the 7:30 p.m. performance during it's limited one-week engagement at the Bank of America Theatre June 2 - 6. Tickets are on sale now!

"Taroniah's vocal skills and originality have enabled us to create a special role for her in the show," said Broadway producer and Cirque Dreams creator Neil Goldberg. "Her performance will captivate audiences at the Bank of America Theatre as it did our creative team. It's just passing the dream forward." Goldberg added, "I too was once that dreamer who imagined one day being part of a professional Broadway experience...now it's Taroniah's break."

Born and raised in Chicago, Taroniah is described as professional, fun, and soulful. This mid-west native has a debut CD release scheduled for summer 2010. Taroniah is a dynamic performer that lives to entertain & inspire as much as she is inspired. From Soul to Pop, she exudes warmth, power and grace. This up and coming talent already has a list of credits which include: television, jingles, live performances, studio sessions, theater and corporate work, as well as being a semi Finalist in the Chicago Idol Competition and finalist in the Chicago Star Search among other accomplishments.

Despite her impressive credentials, this contest has a special place in her heart. "To win the chance to perform with Cirque Dreams is like a dream come true and to perform with stellar, amazing talent is icing on the cake, I'll remember this forever."

Kid's Night at Cirque Dreams Illumination
On Friday, June 4, children of all ages are invited for a unique and fun night of theatre. Prior to the performance they can enjoy special activities with the cast of Cirque Dreams Illumination including juggling, balancing, dancing and more. All ticketholders are welcome to participate in the Bank of America Theatre lobby from 6:45 - 7:15 p.m.
