Individual tickets go on sale to the Chicago premiere of Shostakovich’s MOSCOW, CHERYOMUSHKI and the Chicago premiere of Handel’s TESEO on Wednesday, February 29th at 9am. And back by popular demand, COT will waive all ticket fees through Monday March 5th at 5pm.
Chicago Opera Theater will also be introducing 100@25 – a new ticket program where COT will offer 100 tickets to each performance for only $25. These will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and are available in all sections of the Harris Theater. So that the program will reach as many Chicagoans as possible, there will be a limit of two tickets per household at the $25 rate.
“I think it’s important that everyone gets to enjoy Chicago Opera Theater, and not just back in the ‘cheap seats,’” said General Director Brian Dickie. “Part of our mission has always been to make opera accessible, and 100@25 just expands our reach into the community.”

This is Brian Dickie’s last season as General Director of Chicago Opera Theater. He leaves the company August 31, 2012.
