It's official...Chicago blues legend Buddy Guy will headline Aurora's 17th Annual Blues on the Fox festival on June 14 and 15, the grand opening event for downtown Aurora's beautiful new RiverEdge Park Music Garden.

Guy joins the June 15th Saturday night line-up, which already boasts The Stone Foxes, Tommy Castro and The Painkillers, and Robert Randolph and The Family Band. Blues on the Fox, sponsored by Rush-Copley Medical Center, kicks off Friday night, June 14, with JJ Grey & Mofro and Dr. John.
More new acts officially announced today for RiverEdge Park's inaugural season are:

Holly Williams, daughter and granddaughter of Hank Jr. and Sr., has been added as the opening act for country legends Loretta Lynn and Randy Travis on Saturday, June 29.

Bridgit Mendler, star of Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie, and L.A. pop rock band R5, will have the tween scene jumping on August 18.

Aurora's Downtown Alive! series is runnin' down a dream with the addition of
Full Moon Fever: A Tribute to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers on August 23.

Living Latin legend singer/songwriter Joan Sebastian, and accordionist and Norteño star Ramón Ayala perform on September 13.

In addition to these new artists, RiverEdge Park is also partnering with local community groups to serve as the new, improved host site for Aurora's 42nd Puerto Rican Heritage Festival, July 27 and 28, and Fiestas Patrias Aurora 2013, September 14 and 15.

These new events join an already busy summer line-up at Aurora's new RiverEdge Park Music Garden, located at 360 North Broadway, just steps away from downtown Aurora, directly across from the Metra station, on the east bank of the beautiful Fox River.

Galena Boulevard in downtown Aurora, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., or two hours prior to evening performances. RiverEdge will also operate a full-service box office on-site on concert and event days for day-of and advance sales.

Chicagoland's newest live outdoor entertainment venue is anchored by the contemporary John C. Dunham performance pavilion, which boasts state-of-the-art acoustics, flexible seating allowing for up to 2,500 seats in front of the stage, general admission for 6,000-8,000, plus a rooftop deck that hosts up to 300 VIPs, for total capacity of 8,500-10,500. Concessions at RiverEdge will offer a diversified menu from official food vendor Two Brothers Roundhouse, along with a bar featuring Two Brothers' craft beers, Anheuser-Bush products, wine, sodas, bottled water and more.
