Broadway In Chicago Announces 2nd Evening of Murder and Mystery Dinner Package

Williamstown_Theatre_Festival_Announces_Kevin_Cahoon_Paul_Castree_More_For_FORUM_20010101

Broadway In Chicago, with Petterino's and The Murder Mystery Company, is excited to announce that, due to popular demand, a second Evening of Murder and Mystery Dinner Package has been added on Tuesday, May 25! The previously announced package on Sunday, May 23 has sold out. When patrons use a special promo code for the Tuesday, May 25, 7:30 p.m. performance of THE 39 STEPS at the Bank of America Theatre, they can enjoy a delicious three-course dinner for FREE before the show at Petterino's, featuring an interactive adventure hosted by Chicago's The Murder Mystery Company. For complete ticket information for the Murder Mystery Dinner Package, visit www.BroadwayInChicago.com/mystery or see details below.

Patrons will be welcomed into Petterino's private dining room and introduced to the rules of the Murder Mystery event. An interactive evening awaits, as the moderator leads the patrons to discover the murderer of the evening. Patrons will be invited to participate extensively and will even be provided with costume pieces to get into character. While super-sleuthing, they will be served a delicious three-course meal, including Fritzel Salad, Parmesan Crusted Chicken Armando or Baked Ravioli, and Chocolate Ovation, prepared by Petterino's Executive Chef Francis Brennan. Once they've solved the murder and finished dessert, patrons will then proceed to the Bank of America Theatre to see the hilarious comedic thriller, Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, a show Ben Brantley of the New York Times calls "absurdly enjoyable!"

Tuesday, May 25
5:00 p.m. Murder Mystery Dinner at Petterino's (150 N. Dearborn, Chicago)
7:30 p.m. Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS at the Bank of America Theatre (18 W. Monroe, Chicago)

About THE 39 STEPS
Seeking a frivolous night out at the theatre, Richard Hannay is lured into a world of intrigue by a mysterious woman claiming to be a spy. When she winds up dead in his flat, he flees London with the police hot on his trail. This is a classic portrayal of one man's flight from wrong accusation through a series of misadventures and old fashioned romance. THE 39 STEPS features a cast of four actors who, against all odds, breathlessly and hilariously attempt to reenact all of the characters, locations and famous scenes in Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller with just a few props and a lot of theatrical ingenuity and split second quick changes.

THE 39 STEPS has been a runaway hit in London's West End, playing to sell-out houses at the Criterion where it continues to delight and thrill audiences. The first production of THE 39 STEPS was directed by Fiona Buffini and produced on stage by North Country Theatre in April 1996 at the Georgian Theatre, Richmond, North Yorkshire.

THE 39 STEPS, adapted by Patrick Barlow, directed by Maria Aitken and featuring sets and costumes by Peter McKintosh, is based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on the book by John Buchan. It features lighting by Kevin Adams and sound by Mic Pool. Dialect coach is Stephen Gabis. Original movement created by Toby Sedgwick. Additional movement created by Christopher Bayes. Production management is by Aurora Productions. THE 39 STEPS is produced by Bob Boyett, Harriet Newman Leve/Ron Nicynski, Stewart F. Lane/Bonnie Comley, Manocherian Golden Prods., Olympus Theatricals/Douglas Denoff, Pam Laudenslager/Pat Addiss, Tim Levy/Remmel T. Dickinson, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Managing Director; Julia Levy, Executive Director), Huntington Theatre Company (Nicholas Martin, Artistic Director; Michael Maso, Managing Director) and Edward Snape for Fiery Angel Ltd. Associate Producer is Marek J. Cantor.
