The Chicago cast of the hit
musical Altar Boyz will host "An Altar Boyz Christmas," a one-night-only
holiday concert, at 200 East on Chestnut, located in the landmark Seneca Hotel
at 200 East Chestnut St.
in Chicago Monday, December 17 at 7PM. This star-studded
event will feature cast members from Jersey Boys and Wicked, with all proceeds
benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
"An Altar Boyz
Christmas" will feature performances by the Chicago cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical
comedy Altar Boyz: Brian Crum (Mark),
Devin DeSantis (Matthew), Tyler McGee (Luke), Nick Verina (Abraham), and Adam
Zelasko (Juan).
Other special guests scheduled to perform include Jersey Boys National Tour/Chicago star
Jeremy Kushnier (Tommy DeVito, and the original Ren in Footloose on Broadway),
John Michael Dias (Alternate for Frankie Valli) as well as show Ensemble
members Jenny Lee Stern, and Rashad Naylor; Jennifer DiNoia (Elphaba standby),
Kate Fahrner (Glinda u/s), and Mindy Reid (Madame Morrible u/s) of the Chicago
production of Wicked; and Mark
Richard Ford, who recently appeared as Collins in Rent on Broadway. The Altar Boyz band, comprised of Alan
Bukowiecki (keyboard), Jeremy Ramey (keyboard), Ethan Deppe (drums), and
Malcolm Ruhl (guitar), will provide live accompaniment. "An Altar
Boyz Christmas" is produced and directed by Brian Crum.
In addition to an evening of classic holiday carols and
Broadway favorites, attendees will have the chance to mingle with the stars and
participate in a live auction for "A Date with the Altar Boyz."
Tickets for "An Altar
Boyz Christmas," priced at $35 (limited view) and $50, include the cost of
admission and two drink tickets. A small
number of VIP tickets, priced at $100, include prime seating and raffle tickets
for prizes from Altar Boyz and
more. Seating is very limited. All tickets are tax deductible, with proceeds
benefiting BC/EFA.
